Some of our eco-committee children caught the bus to go shopping at our local supermarket.
We used donations from our food waste/takeaway scheme to purchase items for our local food bank.
The children took their time selecting items that they thought would be beneficial for those who are in need.
One child even suggested that we purchase some ‘free from’ items as he explained there are some foods that he is unable to have & this may be the same for other people too.
The children did a great job of operating the self-serve checkout & putting the money in to pay.
